Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, The Mauve is an indie pop-rock band blending dreamy shoegaze textures with warm, retro-leaning melodies. Led by singer and songwriter Analiese Chiyoko Esopenko, the band creates emotionally rich soundscapes that balance intimacy with energy, pairing lush guitars and atmospheric arrangements with memorable hooks. Drawing inspiration from everyday life and personal experience, The Mauve’s music feels both nostalgic and immediate, inviting listeners of all ages into a shared, immersive live experience.

Formed in 2019 as a duo, The Mauve has since grown into a full six-piece band. The group has shared stages with artists such as Beach Bunny (2023), HelloGoodbye (2022), and Dreams of Future Machines, Ragamuffs. The Mauve has hosted live sessions with Hawaiʻi Public Radio (HPR) and KTUH, including a live set for KTUH on air in October 2025, and has headlined Capitol Modern (Hawaiʻi State Art Museum) in both 2023 and 2025. The band performs regularly—typically once a month—and is frequently invited to headline shows across a range of local scenes and genres, drawing consistently strong attendance at their performances. In addition, singer and songwriter Analiese Esopenko was awarded a scholarship to the Hawai’i Songwriting Festival in 2024, including full festival admission and accommodations. Most Recently (Dec 2025), The Mauve headlined a packed show at 3rd Space Honolulu (Harbors Vintage)New music is currently in the works for Feb 2026.
